We’d love to hear from you. But first, we may have some answers to your queries.

SALT THERAPY

Salt therapy involves breathing in air with tiny salt particles to improve your overall breathing. It has been proven to promote relaxation and meditation and keep your lungs free from infection and allergies.

There are many other benefits to salt therapy such as:

  • Clearing up mucus from airways
  • Antibacterial effects, preventing infections
  • Anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy effects
  • Immune boosting

Please refer to this page for more information on our Salt Therapy room.

Sitting Sessions (40 minutes)

A Sitting Session typically involves relaxing in a room that is designed to mimic a natural salt cave environment. The room is filled with dry aerosol salt particles that are inhaled during the session.

You may sit or lie down on a comfortable chair or mat (bring your own yoga mat) and breathe in the salty air for 40 minutes.

Guided Sessions (40 minutes)

We highly recommend trying our guided sessions for an enhanced experience.

Our expert guides will provide you with instructions and techniques to make the most of your salt therapy session, ensuring a deeper level of relaxation and therapeutic benefits.

Please refer to this page for rates and more information.

All sessions in the Salt Room are strictly by booking only.

Simply get in touch with us via Instagram or email us at hello@breathingroomph.com to book your session with us!

The Salt Room fits up to 4 people for sitting and guided sessions. If you book an individual session, the same slot may be shared with someone else.

Sometimes, you may have the room to yourself if you are the only person who booked for that particular session.

However, we cannot guarantee solo-usage as someone else may book at the last minute.

For Special Guided Classes, it is a maximum of 6 people per session.

You should wear clothing that’s comfortable for you. Even if you are coming straight from the office, you do not have to change into your activewear!

For people doing salt therapy for skin conditions, it would be good to wear shorts or a tank top for more skin surface areas to be exposed.

Slippers will be provided by The Breathing Room for entry into the Salt Room.

We DO NOT encourage any colognes, scents, perfumes to be worn prior to entry into the salt room.

This will vary among individuals, according to one’s individual body. Some people notice an improvement throughout the body after only one session.

Some notice clearer airways and better sleep after one session, and some may even experience runny nose during their session as a sign of airways loosening up and clearing.

This will vary according to every individual body and respiratory system.

For best results, we recommend you to have at least 3 sessions within a couple of weeks or less.

As a guide, at the very beginning, we want you to be able to have 3 to 5 sessions within a couple of weeks jumpstart the detox of your respiratory system.

Following that, you can come as often as you like for maintenance.

We would be able to give you a better idea of how often you would need to come for salt therapy once we have a better idea of your specific symptoms. Remember, salt therapy is best used as a continuous preventative measure. Head on to our blog to read on.

Salt therapy is safe for children and we welcome them!

Young children are often prone to respiratory infections. The dry aerosol salt particles when inhaled can help clear nasal passageways, reduce inflammation and clear away mucus.

Yes, salt therapy is completely natural and drug-free and is a great option for pregnant women. We would still advise you to consult with your doctor if you have specific questions or concerns before entering the salt room.

Absolutely not. This is one of the most common misconceptions about salt therapy. Salt therapy is highly effective at preventing illnesses when done on a regular basis.

Salt therapy keeps mucus from building up and leading to infections such as sinus infections, ear infections, etc.

Simply put, salt therapy is a wonderful way of maintaining hygiene levels of your respiratory system.

Yes, however you may most likely require more sessions and you will need to come more frequently.

No, you do not get the same benefits being in a salt room versus salt lamp at home.

Salt therapy cleans your respiratory system, which includes you nose, lungs, airways, sinuses, etc. Salt lamps just helps to clean the air at home.

Salt lamps work like slow, natural air purifiers. They attract and absorb the water molecules in the air and trap dander, dust, pollen, etc. When the lamp is warm, the water molecules evaporate back into the air but the other particles stay trapped in the salt.

Salt therapy uses anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of salt to detox the respiratory system. The tiny particles are able to penetrate deep into the lungs. Salt therapy clears away mucus, kills harmful bacteria in the respiratory system, and reduces tissue irritation.

Salt is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. Our salt room is constantly circulated with salt particles, you can be sure germs cannot survive in them.

Bring water to stay hydrated, a yoga mat and a towel. Please note that yoga mat rentals are not available at The Breathing Room.

Wear simple, breathable athletic clothing that does not limit your range of motion and where the instructor can have a good idea of your body alignment.

No shoes are allowed in the yoga room, and we do not recommend wearing any socks during practice.

It is a good idea to come to class hydrated and drink plenty of water after yoga class. Try not to eat a full meal at least three hours before class.

At The Breathing Room, we DO NOT provide yoga mats in our studio. We require you to have your own yoga mat for classes to encourage adherence to hygiene. With having your own yoga mat, you will be able to choose a mat which will be specific to your comfort.

We highly encourage you to arrive early at the studio to make sure you begin the class right on time. We want to protect your safety at all times; being on time would mean you would have time to prepare your body and mind for practice.

There may be instances where the front desk will be unmanned and the doors will be locked for security reasons. Prompt attendance will ensure a smooth and secure learning environment for everyone.

We also highly discourage causing disturbances to clients who are on time.

Of course! Working one-on-one is a great way to delve into the unique needs of your practice with a teacher.

YOGA & Classes

Yoga promotes a healthy mind and mental focus, and aids in reducing stress. Physically, you will be able to feel an improvement in your joints, strength, balance and flexibility.

Yoga also helps in toning of your body as there are a lot of body weight exercises that work muscles all throughout your body.

Yes! In fact you are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people think that they need to be flexible to begin yoga, but that’s a little bit like thinking that you need to be able to play tennis in order to take tennis lessons. Come as you are and you will find that yoga practice will help you become more flexible. This newfound agility will be balanced by strength, coordination as well as a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.

The Breathing Room welcomes everyone into our beginner-friendly classes. It may feel hard, challenging, or just downright impossible at the beginning, but just know it is totally normal to feel uncomfortable when you start something new.

The journey to wellness is a practice – over time and regular practice, you will be able to gain a sense of physical confidence to keep working on your well-being.

At The Breathing Room, we value your health and safety. It is strictly your duty to consult your doctor before you begin classes if you are unsure.

You must also inform your instructor before the start of the class of any medical conditions that may have effect on your breathing and range of motion.

The Breathing Room was built on the premise of offering the most eco-friendly facilities promoting your health and mind. One of the most important yogic principles is ahimsa, which means non-harming.

A heated room requires more energy and water than a regular yoga studio. We believe this isn’t the direction we’re encouraging towards protecting our environment.

Yoga is also not about the extremes. Increasing body fluid loss artificially requires high degrees of acclimatization, and there are potential risks to it as well. We promote the safest and most effective yoga classes, and unfortunately, sweating more isn’t always better.
